Your Time in Thailand

Whilst studying at the Bangkok Academic Center or the Webster University Thailand Cha-Am/Hua Hin Campus, students from abroad can find the time to discover just how amazing Thailand really is, with so many places to visit, attractions, and beautiful destinations, not to mention festivals and a rich cultural landscape.

Stunning white sand beaches, sparkling clear waters and idyllic islands; Thailand’s Southern seaside belles attract millions of tourists a year. Koh Samui, Koh Tao, and Koh Pha Ngan are island gems in the Gulf of Thailand, south of Hua Hin, and Koh Chang is a green island south east of Bangkok. In the warm waters of the Andaman Coast the Phi Phi Islands are renowned for their beauty, while Phuket is a holiday hotspot, and Krabi is famed for paradise Railay Beach and dramatic limestone karsts jutting out of turquoise waters.

To the north east, Issan is the rural heartland of Thailand, with its own dialect, food, and culture revealing what many Thais refer to as the "real Thailand."

Up in the north of Thailand, Chiang Mai, right by the mountains, is a beauty with the old town dotted with spectacular temples; a far cry from high-rise Bangkok. Here, visitors can glimpse the lives of Thailand’s many hill tribes and sample the best coffee in the world.

Bangkok has it all, with the spectacular Grand Palace and Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho temple must-visit attractions. Take a boat taxi on the iconic Chao Phraya River, explore the small waterways with a longtail boat and enjoy food, shopping and fun at Bangkok’s unique Asiatique by the water. Experience worldwide cuisine and a charismatic city that is as exciting as it gets for a young student studying abroad.
