Sports Day Brings Students Together

Sports Day 2017Every Spring term Webster Thailand’s Sports Day kick’s off with students of all academic disciplines coming together for an energetic afternoon of fun and games. Taking place at Webster’s Hua Hin / Cha Am campus, the day provided students with a chance to get out in the fresh air before the weather gets too hot and enjoy a range of competitive activities. With the university sports ground located in one of the most picturesque parts of Thailand, the day is always one of the most popular events on the university calendar.

Sports Day 2017Not only reserved for budding athletes, the 2017 Webster Sports Day that took place in the first week of February was open to everyone to participate regardless of their sporting prowess (or lack thereof). As a university that encourages an active involvement in all areas of university life, the Sports Day gave students a break from their regular class schedule and a chance to make new friends in an informal and enjoyable environment.

Sports Day 2017Organized by the Student Government Association (SGA) and the Student Affairs Department, Sports Day saw students display their badminton, basketball, dodge ball and chair ball talents. For those who didn’t feel like joining in the action, there was plenty of delicious food on sale cooked by Webster’s very own (and talented) Business Club. Many faculty members and staff also attended to cheer on the teams from the sidelines as they went ‘head-to-head’.

Well done to all students who took part in Sports Day and we hope that you had a wonderful day full of fun and adventure. To those that finished the day victorious, an extra special congratulations! We hope that the friendships forged will last well beyond graduation from Webster University Thailand and for many more years into the future.
