INTERNATIONAL DIVERSITY BURSARY (Financial Aid)
What is the International Diversity Bursary? Who is eligible?
International Diversity bursary is a financial aid provided by the University to partially reduce the effective tuition fee. Undergraduate applicants from the following countries and/or continents are eligible for this bursary:
Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Serbia, Turkey, and the African continent
Why is the International Diversity Bursary given?
One of the primary visions of the university is to have a very diverse student population at WUT. In an attempt to have more representation from various parts of the world WUT has currently introduced the IDB program. Initially the countries and/or continents mentioned above are included in this IDB list. Efforts are constantly being made to increase the list of countries to accommodate the entire globe. These bursaries make WUT more viable and affordable to students who wish to travel all the way to Asia for their higher education.
How does this IDB work?
The ID Bursary is worth Thai Baht 52,560 per semester which is deducted from the published tuition rate. This deduction is done automatically when the tuition invoice is issued to the student. The ID Bursary is valid throughout the student´s undergraduate (bachelors) study at WUT. It is not transferable or usable in other campuses of Webster University.
When does the ID Bursary start?
The ID Bursary is given to the students from the very beginning. The letter of acceptance will indicate the ID Bursary and the student pays the tuition fees accordingly. There is no need for additional application for the ID Bursary. Our officers might ask for additional documents if they have any requirements (in case of dual citizenship, etc.)
Are students eligible for additional financial aid?
Students who get the ID Bursary do not get additional financial aid at entry level. However all students are eligible for merit scholarships after at least one year of completion of their program. These scholarships are usually very few (as WUT is a private university) and only the top 3%-4% of the student population usually has scholarships.
I am not eligible for ID Bursary, where should I look for financial aid?
If you are not eligible for Asian Bursary then please check our international diversity bursary section or the financial aid and scholarship section (Entry level).
