Webster University has been teaching in the People's Republic of China since 1997.

Among U.S. universities, it is likely that Webster is the largest and most active operating on the mainland. Today, cooperating with Shanghai University of Economics and Finance (SUFE), the program has 240 MBA candidates in two key commercial cities: Shanghai, and Shen Zhen. During 2002, the Ministry of Education again approved Webster to operate the first, full MBA Program in Southwest China.

 

Over 40 people are now enrolled in the Chungdu program, which is a joint venture with the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). Today there are over 500 MBA graduates in China, who earned MBA degrees at the Webster/SUFE Joint MBA Program.
