How to Apply & Requirements

Applying to Webster

Admission to Webster University is moderately selective. Applicants will have their application files reviewed individually to ascertain the fit between prior educational accomplishments and established academic expectations at Webster.

reshmen are admitted to the University following the successful completion of a twelve-year American high school program or its international equivalent as recognized by Webster.

The typical length of full-time undergraduate study at the University is four years. Successful completion culminates in the award of a baccalaureate (bachelor’s) degree. Students previously enrolled at another accredited university may be eligible for transfer credit and complete the program in fewer than four years.

How to Apply

We welcome all applications for admissions. When applying to Webster University Thailand you will need to consider the following steps in order to effectively see your application through the admissions process.

Webster University Thailand has five in-takes for undergraduate programs:

Fall Semester (August-December)
Fall II Quick Start Semester (October-December)
Spring Semester (January-May)
Spring II Quick Start (March-May)
Summer Term (May-July)

1. Make sure you have all the required documents listed above, and submit them to us through the following methods:
     1.1. Method 1: Scan in the documents and send them by email to admissions@webster.ac.th
     1.2. Method 2: Post the documents, along with original certified transcripts to 
            Webster University Thailand

     1.3. Method 3: Submit your prepared documents to our local representatives in your area.

2. Ensure that you are meeting the key dates and deadlines in terms of the application process

3. Choose the housing that is most aptly suitable for you

4. Ensure fees and payments are made

5. Review the Major you intend to pursue and course schedules for the coming semester so that you are ready for active registration of classes.

 

Note: All official documents must be mailed to Admission Office address indicated in Method 2.


 

Document Required to Apply

    •  Completed Application Form

    •  Copy of Passport

    •  Transcripts: High School / Previous or current educational institution Official Transcripts (copies must be in English and be original or official certified copies of originals)

    •  Essay-300 to 500 on a topic of your choice

    •  Two Letters of Recommendation

    NOTE: If you are not comfortable with the format or needs of a recommendation letter, then please use the attached form and have your teacher fill it in and notarize it. (Click here for the Recommendation Assesment Form for teachers)

    •  English proficiency: TOEFL or IELTS score  (Find details
    (For students whose native or predominant language is not English)

SAT and ACT scores are not compulsory for admission

  After you have applied

Averagre  finishing time for applications with all documents is three weeks. However, students who require student loans and/or  visas are advised to submit all documents at least 2 months prior to the intended starting date.Here is what usually happens during that period.

  1. You submit your application form and the related documents through any of the methods listed above, and within the deadlines.
  2. Admissions office will send you an email confirming the receipt of your application. (If you missed some document you will be notified).
  3. You will recieve an email from Webster University St. Louis (Main Campus) with will contain your Application Tracking username and password (Checkstatus).
  4. University will evaluate and respond with Full / Provisional / Conditional Acceptance usually within a week of initially receiving your documents. This may take up to 3 weeks for students with credit transfers. This process is usually called the Admissions Offer.
  5. Once you recieve the Admissions Offer you need to send back your confirmation by filling out the appropriate form/s.
  6. When we recieve your confirmation we will post the original letter of acceptance, a letter of payment, and when applicable, a letter to the Royal Thai Embassy requesting a visa for non-Thai students, and other appropriate documents.
  7. You must make payment for tuition within the date indicated in the letter of payment to secure your admissions as the Offer of Admissions is subject to your tuition payment.
  8. If you are a student who does not reside in Thailand then you should take all documents to the Royal Thai Embassy in your country to request a student visa at least one month before leaving for Thailand . See details: Visas and Residency
  9. You will also be required to confirm your choice of student housing and arrival information (forms will be sent to you along with your Admissions Offer)
  10. We will provide you with a free airport pickup (if required) during the "New Student Arrival Week"
